There’s a moral to this story; don’t envy someone else’s lunch, no matter how yummy the aroma. I made this mistake. While walking on a rocky path and eating my own sandwich, I was scanning the other picnickers to see whose lunch smelled yummier than mine. I tripped, fell and twisted my ankle. You can laugh….
Wonderful Wales: Pembrokeshire; it’s hard to beat
Wonderful Wales; a country that is hard to beat. We visited the county of Pembrokeshire and loved everything about it; the scenery, walks, castle, the tiny city of St. David’s, the charming villages – and it even has puffins on Skoma island. You too should do this. Even being there for only a few days is special.

Camping, Cooking and Cursing in a thunderstorm in Paris
In the 1970’s, one of the cheapest ways to see Europe was to go on a camping tour. We chose Autotours and our first night in Paris turned out to be a disaster. We were the cooks and had to try and fry suspect ‘chops’ in a leaking tent, and then discovered out tent had leaked too. Funny in retrospect!
